Welcome to HomeVelza (“we”, “our”, or “us”). We operate an AI-powered interior design platform that lets you reimagine your living spaces using uploaded photos and generative AI. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use HomeVelza, why we collect it, how we use and store it, and what rights you have over it. By creating an account or using the service you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information — your name, email address, and hashed password when you register directly, or your name and email provided by your OAuth provider (Google, GitHub) when you sign in via a third-party login.
Uploaded images — photos of your rooms and any AI-generated redesign images produced during your sessions.
Usage data — pages visited, features used, number of AI generations consumed, timestamps, and device or browser information collected automatically through server logs and analytics.
Payment information — subscription status and transaction identifiers provided to us by PayPal after a successful payment. We do not store your full card number, bank account details, or any other sensitive financial data on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

Provide the service — authenticate your account, process AI design requests, and display results to you.
Improve AI quality — aggregate, anonymised usage patterns may be reviewed to improve prompt engineering and model configuration. We do not share identifiable images with third parties for training purposes without your explicit consent.
Billing and subscriptions — verify your PRO subscription status and process renewals through PayPal.
Customer support and communications — respond to enquiries and send transactional emails such as password resets and subscription confirmations.
Legal compliance — comply with applicable laws, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Data Storage

User account data, subscription records, and AI generation history are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Supabase. Uploaded room photos and AI-generated images are stored in Supabase Storage (an S3-compatible object store). Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We retain your data for as long as your account remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations.

5. Third-Party Services

HomeVelza integrates the following third-party services. Each provider’s own privacy policy governs their handling of data they receive:

Google Gemini (gemini-2.0-flash) — your uploaded room images and style prompts are sent to the Gemini API solely to generate redesign images. Google’s API data-use policies apply.
PayPal — processes subscription payments. Payment details are entered directly on PayPal’s platform and are governed by the PayPal Privacy Statement.
Vercel — hosts the HomeVelza web application. Vercel may log request metadata (IP address, user-agent) in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated personal data. Images stored in Supabase Storage will also be removed.
Export — request a machine-readable export of your data.
Opt-out — opt out of non-essential communications at any time by contacting us.
